Q: Can I install the product on multiple machines?
A: Typically you will not have to or want to. As an Intranet, the product is run from a Web Server and is accessed from people's desktops via a Web Browser. The typical setup is to install and configure the product on one machine and then everyone accesses the product from that machine. This being said, the license agreement allows for installation on multiple machines if necessary.

Q: On what platforms can I install the product?
A: The product can only be installed on Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000. You will typically want to install the product on a Server version of the operating system. You can install the product on Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Windows 2000 Professional; however, Microsoft limits these operating systems to 10 active connections, which can be limiting for use as a Web Server.

Q: What do I need to install on the clients?
A: Typically nothing. All that is required on the client is a relatively modern Web Browser. We require Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or greater or Netscape Navigator version 4.0 or greater. If the client already has a Web Browser install, there is nothing more to do.

Q: On what clients can I run the product?
A: The product actually runs on a Windows NT (or Windows 2000) Web Server. However, you can access the product from any client machine that has a version 4.0 or greater Web Browser. For example, the following are possible clients from which you would be able to access the product:
  • Internet Explorer on a Windows platform
  • Navigator on a Windows platform
  • Internet Explorer on a Mac
  • Navigator on a Mac
  • Navigator on a Linux platform
  • Internet Explorer on a Sun platform
  • Navigator on a Sun platform
  • Navigator on many other platforms

Q: How long does it take to install and implement your software?
A: The product is installed using a setup program that will be familiar to Windows users. To install all the prerequisite software, install the product and perform the post installation configuration should take no more than 1 hour.

The main implementation tasks are to configure the software with company defaults and add all the employees who will use the system. In addition, each employee must be configured to specify work hours, vacation balances, accrual rates, etc. For a company with 200 employees, the entire Intranet system could be up and running within one day.

Q: Can we customize the product?
A: Yes. The product is delivered complete with source for all the pages. You can customize current functionality, add new functionality, add new modules, etc.

Q: Can we get training on the technology used in the product so we will be able to customize it ourselves?
A: Yes. Our services department can customize a training package based on your needs. And our rates are very reasonable.

A: Yes. We would be glad to do any customization work for you. And our rates are very reasonable.

A: Yes. We would be glad to do any development work for your. And did we mention that our rates are very reasonable?

Q: We have hourly employees with varying shifts. Does you product work for our company?
A: No. The product out of the box is targeted towards companies with white-collar salaried workers. However, you could use our product as a starting point for your Intranet and then customize it to meet your needs. And of course, if you want us to customize it for you, our rates are very reasonable.

Q: What languages does your product come in?
A: English and Spanish.

Q: Do I have to pay more if I want both English and Spanish?
A: No, both languages come as part of the base package.

Q: Can I get the product in another language?
A: We only provide the product in English and Spanish. However if you want to translate the product to another language, all the necessary tools are included.
